Why am I Getting a Disney Plus Network Error?
Before you can understand why you are getting this Unable to Connect or Network Error when watching Disney Plus, you must first know what it actually is.
If you say it’s simple and the error states that you don’t have an active internet connection, then that’s not correct.
Therefore, if you are wondering what the Disney Plus Network Error is, here it is.
Disney Plus “Network Error” or “Unable To Connect” Error is a network-related error that indicates that Disney Plus on your device cannot communicate with the Disney Plus servers.
If you have a question as to why all other applications are working, it is because, Your network connection is blocking specifically the Disney Plus application from communicating with the server, which means that all other applications and websites will work as well.

A Disney Plus network error occurs when either DNS or any specific proxy, such as VPN or manual proxy, prevents Disney Plus from accessing the internet, and in order to fix it, you will need to check your DNS files and turn off any proxy you are using.
The following devices are most susceptible to Network Error when watching Disney Plus:
- Firestick and Fire TV

- Flagged IP from Internet service provider
Let’s check out what you need to do in order to resolve the Disney Plus Network Error now that we know what causes the error.
How To Fix Disney Plus Network Error?
Disney Plus “Network Error” happens when our device is blocking certain functions and won’t allow Disney Plus to communicate with its servers. In order to fix it, you need to power cycle your router, disable your adblocker, proxy, and DNS settings.

I have listed the steps that you need to follow below to fix it on your device, regardless if you are using Sony, Samsung, LG, or any other Android TV as well as your desktop or smartphone, the steps will solve it on all devices.
- Power Cycle Router and Device
- Clear App Cache or Reinstall Disney Plus
- Disable IPV6
- Disable Private DNS, any Ad Blocker, or manual Proxy
Power Cycle Router and Device
The internet connection issue with Disney Plus could be caused by a minor glitch on your device or in your router, and if that is the case, you will need to power cycle both your device and your wifi router.

In order to assign a fresh, new IP address to your router and clear all temporary network data on your device and router, you will be able to fix the Network Error which is caused by a problem with internet connectivity.
- Turn off your device on which you are streaming Disney Plus and Router wifi.
- Remove the power cable of both and wait for 2-3 minutes.
- Now replug the router as well as your device’s power cable and turn them on.
- Launch Disney Plus and you will be able to stream properly.
Following the above steps may help resolve the issue, and if it does not, proceed to the next step.
Clear App Cache or Reinstall Disney Plus
A corrupted cache or stored data on your device for Disney Plus can also cause the connection to servers to be blocked, resulting in the Network Error. In this case, you will need to manually remove the cache and other stored data from your device.
Cached data is temporary data that is stored on the device to make the functionality of applications and websites faster. Occasionally, this data may conflict with the infrequently updated temporary data.
Disable IPV6
When I faced the issue on my Android TV, I launched the app on my mobile and found that it was working perfectly fine on my mobile, and it was just my TV on which the Disney Plus app wasn’t working. The same thing went for the Desktop as well.
After checking, I found out that it was the IPV6 that was causing the problem, and while there is no option to disable the IPV6 on the TV, I disabled it on my router, and when I launched Disney Plus on my TV again, the Network Error was gone, and I was able to get started streaming again.
When Disney Plus “Unable to Connect” or “Network Error” appears on your Smart TV like Sony, LG, Samsung, etc, you should manually disable IPV6 on your router by accessing the router admin page and the issue will be resolved.
Disable Private DNS And Ad Blockers
On Android devices, such as smartphones, tablets, etc., you may experience Disney Plus “Unable To Connect To Disney+” or internet connectivity issues due to your private DNS settings, which are used to block advertising.
It is possible that you have installed an adblocker app that has changed your DNS settings or that you manually changed your DNS settings to block certain connections on the internet resulting in Disney Plus servers being unable to connect to you.
Therefore, you should turn off the Private DNS or remove any changes you have made. That will fix the “Unable to connect to Disney+” issue on your devices quickly.
Wrapping It Up
It is true that Disney Plus connectivity issues such as “Network Error” or “Unable to connect to Disney+” make us very working despite having a functioning internet connection, and I have been through it myself and resolved it.
